Establishment and Growth
St. Vincent College of Education, Yendi, was established in 2016 as part of the Government of Ghana's initiative to expand access to quality teacher education in the Northern Region. The college began with a trial semester to establish its academic framework and operational systems.
In its foundational year, the college signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Education, Winneba, securing crucial mentoring support and academic guidance during its initial development phase.
The college is one of 46 public colleges of education in Ghana and has actively participated in the DFID-funded T-TEL (Transforming Teacher Education and Learning) programme, which has significantly enhanced our teaching methodologies and curriculum development.
Since our establishment, we have grown to become a respected institution in the Northern Zone, known for our commitment to producing competent, dedicated, and morally upright teachers for Ghana's educational sector.
